Lísias Abreu

Lísias is the Vice President of Sales for Latin America at Trilliant, a global Smart Grid communications leader. Lísias’ primary focus is to grow the business in his region by offering solutions and expertise to customers, with a partnership mindset, to cost effectively achieve their vision and goals for smart systems.

Lísias is a seasoned professional, with a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering and 20 years of global experience across the Energy industry.

Prior to his current role, Lísias worked at General Electric, where he led Sales, Contract Management and Projects in the US, Ireland and Brazil, delivering large turnkey complex deals and managing a pipeline overtime of more than $1 Billion dollars in Smart Grid, Substation, Thermal and Wind Power Generation projects.

During his 6 years with GE, he received the highest appraisals, completed the Project Management Leadership Program and other corporate GE Crotonville training.

His experience continued to expand as he later on joined Opower, a cloud data solution provider for the Utility industry, leading Business Development and Pre-Sales activities for Latin American.

Lísias began his career as a Power Systems Technician at Eletron Engenharia, an engineering firm based in Goiânia, Brazil. For 10 years, he developed practical experience in Project Engineering, Systems Design, Field Installation & Commissioning working in dozens of large projects for the Utility sector and Industrial customers, receiving consecutive promotions and becoming on of the firm’s Partners.

He is Brazilian, bilingual/trilingual, fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish and based in the Raleigh, NC Area.
